How can I vote?
Anyone wishing to vote must be registered and/or logged in. Each registered user may vote one time per day, as many days as the contests continue. Any votes submitted after the first vote on any given day will not be counted. Votes generated by script, macro, or other automated means or with the intent to impair the integrity of the voting process are void. Once you nominate your favorite Mom, she will be entered into a weekly sweepstakes where she will have the chance to win a Year of Flowers! Lucky winners will receive one Teleflora bouquet per month, hand-arranged and delivered by their local Teleflora florist for a year. Each prize is valued at $720.

$100 Sweepstakes - 85 winners! Register to qualify and log in every day to increase your chances of winning.
Simply register on the site and you will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes where 5 winners will be chosen each week starting January 7 ending May 4, 2008. Each day that you log in, you will be entered again into the sweepstakes. You are limited to one entry per day. The sooner you register, and the more days you log in the more chances you have to win!

How can I nominate my favorite Mom?
Click on the Nominate Mom link at the top of the page and follow the easy instructions. You will be asked to submit the Mom's name, address and phone number, along with your story explaining why the Mom you are nominating should be chosen. In addition, you can upload a short video and up to 5 photos. You will also fill out a brief registration form. This is your chance to tell your favorite Mom and the world how much she is appreciated, so be original, show your sense of humor or make it sentimental! Please note that you must be at least 13 years of age to submit a nomination.

When is the nomination deadline?
You can post a nomination until Mother's Day, May 11, 2008. The online contests close on May 4, 2008. In order for your favorite Mom to be selected to be a semi-finalist and participate in the TV shows, your nomination must be submitted by April 25, 2008. As we anticipate many entries, we encourage you to submit your nominations as early as possible.

Am I required to submit a photo or video of the Mom I nominate?
The most important part of your nomination is a story about your favorite Mom telling us why she should be chosen to be America's Favorite Mom. Your story must be between 100 and 3000 characters. While it is not required, we strongly encourage submitting photos or a video of your Mom, because your nomination will be viewed by more people, and therefore, be likely to receive more attention from our panel of experts who will choose the semi-finalists.

When will the nomination I submit appear online?
All nominations and comments submitted will be screened and approved prior to posting online and will be posted within 1-3 days. You will receive an e-mail with a link to your nomination once it is posted online. We may choose not to post or to remove at any time any material that is submitted. How can I increase my favorite Mom's chances of being selected as a semi-finalist for the TV show?
Nominating your mom as early as possible and encouraging your friends and family to vote for her and add comments to her nomination will raise her profile with the panel of experts that will select the semi-finalists, but this will not guarantee her a place on the TV show. Remember, everyone can vote as often as once a day, and each day that you log in, your name will be entered into our $100 sweepstakes drawing. Yes. Nominating your mom on this website will automatically make her eligible for our online contests as well as screening to become a contestant on the TV shows.

If my favorite mom wins an online contest, will this guarantee that she will become a semi-finalist in America's Favorite Mom, and appear on TV?
No. While all Moms nominated on this web site will be considered, our TV contestants will be chosen by a panel of experts, and we cannot guarantee that winners of the online contests will be chosen to participate in the TV contest.

How can I tell my friends and family that I have nominated my favorite Mom once my nomination is online?
Find your nomination by clicking the link in the e-mail that we send you confirming that your nomination has been posted, or click on the Browse Nominations page from the link at the top of the pages on this site and find your nomination. In addition, there is an "E-mail to a Friend" link on all postings. A pop-up window will appear where you can type in the e-mail addresses of up to 10 people at a time. Your friends and family will then be sent an e-mail from your e-mail address that invites them to view the nomination and cast their vote for favorite Mom. There is no limit to the number of people that you can forward this link to.

Who can be nominated to be America's Favorite Mom?
Any Mom of any age is eligible to be America's Favorite Mom. We welcome Moms from all walks of life. We will also accept nominations for people who have taken on the role of Mom in a non-traditional way, including single dads, grandparents, step-Moms and foster parents. Who can nominate a Mom to be America's Favorite Mom?
Anyone can nominate any Mom they know. The person you nominate does not have to be your mother. We encourage children to participate in nominating their Mom. However, children under 13 will need to submit their nominations as part of a nomination submitted by an adult or older sibling for legal reasons. Names and personal information about children under 13 cannot be included in the nomination and registration information. Can I nominate myself to be America's Favorite Mom?
Yes, you can! If you would like to nominate yourself, we suggest that you include testimonials from your children, other family members or friends in the Story section of your submission, but this is not required.

Can several people create a "group" nomination?
Yes, we encourage group nominations where multiple friends or family members participate in creating a single nomination for one Mom. To create a group nomination, one person will set up, manage and upload content to the website, and other group members will contribute their content.

Someone else has already nominated my favorite Mom. Can I nominate her also?
Yes, however we suggest that where it is possible, a group nomination will be stronger than multiple nominations for the same Mom.

Can I nominate more than one Mom?
No. We only allow each person to submit one nomination at this time.

Can I nominate the same Mom multiple times?
No. Multiple submissions for the same Mom by one nominator will be disqualified.

Am I required to obtain permission before submitting photos and videos of people other than myself?
Yes, if you are nominating someone other than yourself, you must have that person's permission to do so. In addition, you are responsible for obtaining any and all releases and consents from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the entry. If any identifiable person appearing in the entry is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the parent or legal guardian is required to provide permission. Please see the
Official Rules for more information. Also, you can forward your nomination to friends and family via e-mail, as well as e-mail your mom's nomination certificate, or print it out to give to your Mom.

Are you accepting nominations by mail, phone or fax?
No. We are accepting submissions on this website only. If you do not have internet access at home, most public libraries offer free internet access to community members.

Can I edit or remove an America's Favorite Mom nomination I have submitted once it has been posted online?
Yes. After you have logged into your account, under the heading "my nomination" there is a link to edit your nomination. Once you click on that link you will be taken to your nomination page where you can edit your favorite Mom's contact information and your story, as well as add/delete photos and video. Please note that if you change any of the text, photos or videos in your nomination, your posting will be temporarily removed from the website until it has been reviewed by our moderators.

I am under 13 years of age. How can I participate?
You will need an older person to help you because you can't register with our website for legal reasons. We suggest that you ask an adult family member or an older brother or sister to create a nomination and that you contribute your story, videos and photos. You can even ask your Mom to submit your nomination for you. Make sure that your name and any other identifying information is not included in the nomination.

What happens if I am nominated, but don't want to participate in the television program?
If you are nominated, you are not obligated to participate in the television program. If we contact you because you were chosen to be screened to be a semi-finalist, you can decline.

Can I nominate a Mom who is deceased?
No. The registration process and rules prevent us from accepting nominations for a person who is deceased.

Will my nomination remain online after Mother's Day 2008?
AFM TV, LLC may decide to keep the America's Favorite Mom website active after Mother's Day 2008, and your nomination may remain online. If you would like to remove your nomination at any time, log in and delete it.

How will America's Favorite Mom use my Nomination?
All of the material you submit on the America's Favorite Mom website becomes the property of and may be used at the discretion of AFM TV, LLC. For more information, please read our

How do I upload a photo?
To upload a photo, it needs to be located on your computer's hard drive. Click the "Browse" button, which will open a popup dialog box that prompts you to locate the photo. Click the "Browse" button on that dialog box to navigate to the photo you wish to upload, and then click "Open." The dialog box will close, and the file name will then appear on this page. Enter a title for your photo that is 45 characters or less. Click the "Upload" button. Repeat the process for up to 4 more additional photos. When you are done selecting your photos, along with your story (required) and video (optional), click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the "Nominate Mom" page to submit your nomination and upload the photos.

What photo formats are accepted? What is the maximum file size?
Photos need to be in one of the following formats: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, .pnm, or .tiff. Photo can be no more than 3 megabytes in file size. You can upload up to 5 photos.
